Arkady Krasnikhin’s areas of practice include corporate law, M&A and finance.
Before joining Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners in 2004, Arkady worked in-house at major financial institutions and industrial companies. Senior Associate at EPA&P since 2005, Arkady has represented major Russian and foreign companies in acquisitions of stakes in Russian and foreign companies, structured complex corporate transactions and provided day-to-day legal support. Не has extensive expertise in inward investment regulations. A Partner since 2007, Arkady acted in:
- Advising the Italian company De Cecco on the acquisition of the 1st Pasta Company, one of the leading Russian pasta producing groups with three manufacturing plants and one distribution company.
- Advising the seller on the sale of Beringov, the home appliance and electronics retailer, to the Eldorado group.
- Advising Danone on its pan-CIS merger of its diary business in the CIS with Unimilk (M&A Deal of the Year in Europe, according to IFLR European Awards 2011).
- Advising a mining and energy group in connection with its multi-billion investments in a top 10 Russian oil and gas holding.
- Advising a Russian mining and energy group on the preparation for an IPO.
- Advising on the restructuring of USD 1.33bn debt of GAZ Group.
- Advising the Russian Government and a state owned company on the acquisition of a stake in a pipeline consortium.
- Advising a leading Russian oil and gas company on the formation of the optimal holding company structure and the establishment of a joint venture company under Russian legislation to manage a large oil refinery.
- Advising a Russian mining and energy group on the USD 1.05bn loan refinancing with the participation of 40 lending banks.
- Advising Archangelsk Trawler Fleet, Russia’s oldest state-run fishing company, in maritime litigation proceedings in Mauritania, Spain, Panama, Namibia and Ethiopia regarding the misappropriation of Russian merchant marine vessels.
- Advising a Russian metal company on the USD 2bn issuance of corporate bonds.
Arkady graduated with honours from the Law School of St. Petersburg State University and obtained an LL.M. degree from the New York University. He is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. He speaks English and Russian.
