Dr. Nikolai Egorov specializes in dispute resolution, contract and corporate law, and real estate.

As one of the most respected experts in Russian civil law, Dr. Egorov often serves as an expert, arbitrator and mediator in complex commercial disputes. He is listed as a recommended arbitrator by the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and by the Arbitration Tribunal at the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has served as an expert on Russian law issues in proceedings before international arbitration tribunals and foreign courts.

Nikolai Egorov is a Professor of Civil Law at the Law School of St. Petersburg State University. From 1985 to 1991, he was the Chair of the law school's Civil Law Department, as well as a people's assessor at the Supreme Court. Thereafter, Dr. Egorov served as an advisor to the Mayor of St. Petersburg. In 1993, he co-founded Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners.

Presently, Dr. Egorov is a member of the Research and Advisory Board of the Supreme Arbitrazh Court of the Russian Federation and a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

In 2008, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev awarded Nikolai Egorov with the Order of Honour for his significant contribution to the development of national legal scholarship and for his long and successful career focused on training highly qualified professionals, raising a new generation of legal practitioners and upholding law and order.
